Bloating and other abdominal symptoms: could it be ovarian cancer?

This 30-minute module, featuring case studies, takes a closer look at symptoms and what distinguishes ovarian cancer from common conditions, such as irritable bowel syndrome, urinary tract infection and ovarian cysts. Developed in partnership with the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) eLearning. 

Recognising early symptoms of ovarian cancer: interactive case history

This award-winning module provides an hour of accredited learning based on interactive case studies, and covers the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer and diagnostic tests. As with all BMJ Learning modules, this tool has been peer reviewed and incorporates the latest research available, including the 2011 NICE clinical guidelines. Developed in partnership with BMJ Learning.

gp-trainingThe Family History of Ovarian Cancer

This tool helps GPs update their understanding of familial ovarian and breast cancer, including the BRCA1 and 2 genes. The module provides 1.5 hours of accredited learning, and includes the importance of considering the father’s side of the family in assessing familial risk, the reliability of genetic testing and risk reduction options for high risk women. Developed in partnership with Pulse Learning.
