Pledge to raise £1,000 this year and help beat ovarian cancer
Could you join the 562 members of Target 1000? This amazing group of people have achieved something extraordinary. They have each raised at least £1,000 to support our work to improve early diagnosis, fund life-saving research and provide much-needed support to women with ovarian cancer.
You can take the pledge to raise £1,000 this year
The £1,000 you raise could train more GPs to update their knowledge of ovarian cancer and best practice for early diagnosis; fund more medical research into finding new treatments and enable more women to receive support through our unique events and publications.
“Mum had said to me ‘when you come to do your 100th half marathon I will sponsor you’. I have now exceeded the £1000 mark which I think is a fantastic achievement which I never realistically expected.” Ken Howick ran his 100th half marathon this year in memory of his mother June.
Support for you
Once you have pledged, a member of our fundraising team will be in touch and will be on hand throughout the year with tips and advice as well as fundraising materials to help you reach your goal.
You will also receive a copy of our Target 1000 welcome pack in the post, as well as an invite to join our Target 1000 Facebook group, where you can connect to other supporters and share stories and fundraising ideas.
As a Target 1000 pledger you will receive exclusive news and updates on our work. Later in the year you and a guest will be invited to our Supporters' Reception in London where you'll meet other supporters of Target Ovarian Cancer and hear about the difference your support has made over the year.
Once you reach £1,000
At the end of the year when you’ve reached your goal you will receive a certificate and exclusive Target 1000 membership pin badge to commemorate your efforts. Your name will also be featured on our Roll of Honour on our website.
