Christmas, family holidays and other big occasions can be stressful times, and can only become more complex with a cancer diagnosis. In this podcast, our Digital Communications Executive Jessie spoke to one of our Nurse Advisers, Val, and our Information and Support Manager, Katie, about the obstacles you might face when living with ovarian cancer at Christmas. We talk through managing expectations, letting go of perfectionist attitudes and communicating with family and friends effectively.
This podcast was created in December with the holiday season in mind, but the problems and solutions we discuss may apply to other times of year. You may also find the advice useful before an important wedding, a big family holiday or another high pressure occasion.
Please remember that this advice is not intended as a substitute for medical advice. You should always consult your medical practitioners on your personal nutrition, treatment and lifestyle guidelines.
