The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence has now published the final scope for the forthcoming clinical guidance on 'The recognition and initial management of ovarian cancer'.

Following a meeting of registered stakeholders a draft scope was produced and put out for wider consultation. Following comments from interested groups which have been published the final scope for the guidance has been agreed.

The guideline development group has now begun to address the key clinical questions in the scope. Minutes from these meetings are also published on the NICE website once they have been agreed.

Frances Reid who works as Director of Public Affairs for Target Ovarian Cancer, was selected as one of the patient representatives on the Guideline Development Group.
