A recent article in highlighted some of the findings of the initial exploratory phase of the Target Ovarian Cancer Pathfinder Study.

The challenges facing specialist nurses are of great importance, given the pivotal role they play in helping women through the experience of ovarian cancer.

The article raised a few of the key themes that will be explored more extensively in forthcoming research undertaken as part of the Target Ovarian Cancer Pathfinder Study, in addition to identifying areas of good practice. Overseen by an independent panel of experts, the work on this study is underway, and the results will be used to help drive improvements in quality of life and survival for women diagnosed with the disease.
