You may have noticed that today, Target Ovarian Cancer looks a bit different. We've updated our logo and our visual style. We hope you like it.

With such ambitious plans to drive change in ovarian cancer diagnosis, treatment and support over the coming years, we want to make sure that Target Ovarian Cancer stands out, is heard, and reaches all the communities who need our support.

Our name is important to us. For the past 14 years, it’s clearly stated what we do. We target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives – that means early diagnosis, better treatments and support for all, so we wanted to bring that front and centre to our identity to reinforce our commitment to delivering the changes that will save lives. We’ve reshaped our logo to represent a target to signify this, and you'll see bolder colours and graphics to demonstrate more powerfully, our ambition and our sense of purpose.

Target Ovarian Cancer

Giving visibility to ovarian cancer

For too long ovarian cancer has been overlooked and people are dying needlessly. We’ve made good progress, but it’s time for everyone to sit up and listen. Everyone needs to know the symptoms of ovarian cancer. Early and faster diagnosis has to be prioritised. New treatments must be found. Connecting and supporting affected families is essential.

We know what needs to change. We have clear plans and a determination to get things done. We’re leading from the front, with a strong voice that champions the rights and experiences of people affected by and working in ovarian cancer.

But there are so many causes and issues vying for the public's attention. Our communications need to stand out, reach more people, more healthcare partners, more supporters, and particularly more people who need our support.

All 44,000 of those with a diagnosis of ovarian cancer across the UK need to know we’re here with information and support when they need it.

Now our strong stand-out look will be used in bigger awareness campaigns and in the advertising that we have donated to us, to reach more people quickly, so we never again have to hear the words: “I wish I’d known about your support earlier”.

Bringing people together

One of the most powerful parts of Target Ovarian Cancer is the strength of our community. We listen to what our community has to say, we amplify your voices, share your experiences in the media, with policy makers and the public, so that others understand what needs to be done.

Our stronger identity brings to life your stories and gives more power to your experiences, so that together we can demand the change that we all know is needed.

The healthcare partner to trust

We work closely with healthcare professionals to reach our common goals - with GPs on earlier and faster diagnosis, cancer nurses on support, and researchers to find better, more targeted treatments. Our foundations are built firmly on evidence and research. They know they can trust our professionalism, unwavering commitment and laser-sharp focus.

Achieving stand-out fundraising in a fast-paced digital world

To fund our work, we rely on the generous donations of people like you who also want to change the future of ovarian cancer. We need to be able to stand out, catch people’s attention quickly, and clearly show how we can help – and that means to people who have little experience of ovarian cancer too. We need people to recognise us instantly and know that we stand for progress.

We listened to what you had to say

Everything we do at Target Ovarian Cancer is based on evidence, and this is no different when it comes to how we communicate what we do. Involving our community, our supporters and partners in discussions about our communications was incredibly important to us.

For the past 14 years we’ve had the same logo, so before making any changes we wanted to know what you thought. We asked hundreds of people - those affected by ovarian cancer, those who campaign and fundraise with us, as well as health professionals and researchers, and although there was great warmth and affection, there was also a consensus that it was time to bring how we look and sound up to date with how we already act. The work we do is bold, purposeful urgent and determined, and we need that to be represented in our communications too.

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to help with this.

Targeting what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives

Next year we mark the fifteenth year of Target Ovarian Cancer. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made, but there is still much to do.

Too many lives are still being lost and shattered. This injustice cannot continue.

The new identity we’ve created together will provide the bedrock of our ambition to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives and will help us to push forwards on life-saving early diagnosis, better, kinder treatments and support for all.

We hope you will continue to support this ambition and stand together with us to save lives.
