The Ovarian Cancer Walk was held in October at Callendar Park in Falkirk and London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, a new location for 2015.
The events were a great success with over 400 men, women, children and dogs taking steps to beat ovarian cancer. Some embraced the Olympic spirit and sprinted over the finish line, whilst others enjoyed a more leisurely stroll around the beautiful parks. Each and every participant helped to raise awareness and vital funds for our work - thank you!
We won’t have a final total until December but so far over £80,000 has been raised by participants in both events.
We are extremely grateful to our friends at Linklaters for their generosity in supporting The Ovarian Cancer Walk. Thank you also to Nature Valley for the tasty Oats and Honey bars, and Nivea for donating moisturiser samples. The events couldn’t have happened without all our amazing volunteers who helped in planning the walk and on the day.
