Runners in the gruelling 200 mile American 'Reach the Beach Relay' did Joanna Barker, the founder of Target Ovarian Cancer, proud.

Cross-Atlantic colleagues from the Boston office of finance firm, Advent International, where Joanna manages operations in Central and Eastern Europe, ran to support the charity that she set up after her mother and sister died from ovarian cancer. Their aim was to raise £10,000 and after the New England run the news is that there is a cheque in the post!

A total of 60 Advent personnel from 12 different Advent offices participated in this major event set in New Hampshire.

The Target Ovarian Cancer teams of 12 runners were imaginatively named The A Team and Directionally Correct. Gabriel E Gomez, of the A Team said: “It’s our honour and privilege to be able to support a great organisation such as Target Ovarian Cancer. We are proud of Joanna’s efforts."
