Introduction

Clinical trials are divided into phases. The earliest phase trials may look at whether a drug is safe or the side effects it causes. They usually recruit a very small subset of patients with very specific criteria. They take a long time to complete and tend to recruit people with advanced disease who have had all the other treatment available to them.

We don't always have the most up to date list of phase I trials so we have listed the centres that carry out phase I trials so that you can ask your clinical team to contact them if you would like to know if there any phase I trials running that you may be eligible for.

About the trial

Please note - unless we state otherwise in the summary, you need to talk to your doctor about joining a trial.
