We know that Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs) play an important role in supporting everyone affected by ovarian cancer, and together we want to celebrate the impact of the outstanding support they give.
Introducing the Target Ovarian Cancer Nurse Hero Award
We often hear from those with a diagnosis about the life-changing impact of their CNS, and know that nursing colleagues across the UK are providing emotional support, compassionate care and expert knowledge to those with a diagnosis of ovarian cancer, and their loved ones too.
My CNS team...have been amazing from the start! No phone call unanswered, calming chats and their knowledge from when I’m in paranoid mode are legendary. I could not of done this journey without them!
Do you know a CNS that has gone above and beyond to provide ovarian cancer care and make a difference to the lives of you and your friends or family? Nominations are now open for you to nominate your Nurse Hero.

"At Target Ovarian Cancer we wanted to create something that recognises the incredible hard work, compassion and dedication of CNSs across the UK, which is where the idea of the Nurse Hero Award came from.
"Many of our supporters tell us stories of the outstanding care and empathy that their CNSs show to them and their loved ones every day. Many women say that they don't know where they would be if it wasn't for their CNSs' support.
We want to give everyone affected by ovarian cancer the chance to say a big THANK YOU for the care they've received. This is our way of recognising the contribution that CNSs make to lighting up those dark days and nights facing those with an ovarian cancer diagnosis.
