Pop-up connections

Pop-up connections are informal, one-off events for anyone affected by ovarian cancer. Held in local spaces, they offer a relaxed way to meet others, share experiences, and feel supported - no agenda, just connection and community.

Pop-up connections are informal, one-off or occasional gatherings for anyone affected by ovarian cancer - including those with a diagnosis, their family, friends, and carers.

These relaxed meetups take place in local spaces like cafés and community centres and are centred around a specific activity or theme chosen by the organiser.

Each Pop-up connection is set up by a community-based organiser who has been affected by ovarian cancer. We’re here to support you every step of the way - from helping you spread the word to offering guidance on planning.

Setting up a pop up connection was quite easy and I feel once you’ve had a ovarian cancer diagnosis it becomes important to connect with someone who can really understand what you’ve been through & the anxieties you continue to experience. I feel we all connected immediately as a group & we’re all very excited about the next meet up. It’s also very important to talk about other things aside of your cancer diagnosis & we certainly did that in abundance.

Can you help us grow this network?

We’re keen to support more local, informal connections for people affected by ovarian cancer.

If you’ve already met up with others in your community, or you’re ready to organise your own Pop-up connection, we’d love to hear from you.
