Frequently asked questions

Is the support line service confidential?

Our support line services are confidential between you and Target Ovarian Cancer. If you contact our specialist support team, you may choose to provide personal information. This will only be used to deal with your enquiry and provide you with support and information.

Information that you provide to our partners Perci Health will be confidential between you and Perci Health. We will not receive records of your conversations with them. Perci Health will regularly update us on the themes of the calls they receive to help us identify new issues that are coming up. This will not include any identifiable information.

We will treat your contact as confidential unless there is a risk of serious harm or abuse to you or someone else, in which case we may have to pass this information on to a third party such as the emergency services. Similarly, our partners at Perci Health will follow their own confidentiality and data protection policy.

Who is Perci Health?

Perci Health is a separate organisation from Target Ovarian Cancer. It is a CQC-registered service and support provider to people living with all forms of cancer.

One of the services they offer is access to Clinical Nurse Specialists for advice, information and support.

Perci Health’s services are generally funded by people’s insurance policies. As part of our partnership with Perci Health, they can provide access to their nurses for women who contact our Support Line who need to talk to a nurse. This is free of charge for women with ovarian cancer who are referred from our Support Line.

How do you use my data?

The personal information that you provide and details of the enquiries you make are stored on a secure database which can only be accessed by our supportive services team. If for any reason, you wish to have your personal details removed from our records, or if you wish to amend your details, please contact our data team:
