Annette has been involved with raising awareness of ovarian cancer for a number of years, and we can’t wait to work together on projects that will make a significant difference to everything affected by ovarian cancer

We're thrilled to announce Annette Badland as a Target Ovarian Cancer ambassador.

Award winning actress Annette Badland has announced today that she is joining us as an ambassador to help raise awareness of the injustices faced by those with ovarian cancer.

The announcement comes just days before Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, held annually in March, when we'll be highlighting the importance of raising of this devastating disease.

Well-known for her roles in Eastenders, Midsomer Murders, Ted Lasso, The Crown and Outlander, Annette, who has been supporting us for a number of years, is passionate about people getting a diagnosis as early as possible in order to give them the best chance of survival.

If diagnosed with ovarian cancer at the earliest stage, 9 in 10 women will survive. Annette said:

Too many women lose their lives to this awful disease every day, something must be done to stop this from happening. Since being involved with Target Ovarian Cancer, I have seen first-hand the difference that the charity makes. The team work tirelessly to stand up for everyone affected by ovarian cancer, and those who no longer have a voice. They stand with the community, and they stand for change. It is an honour to be able to stand with them.

We target what’s important to stop ovarian cancer devastating lives – symptoms awareness, early diagnosis, better treatments, and support for all.

Annwen Jones OBE, Chief Executive, said:

Annette’s passion for helping to make change happen is compelling. We are absolutely delighted to have her on board as an ambassador for the charity and are looking forward to working together on projects that will make a significant difference to everyone affected by ovarian cancer starting this Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month by raising awareness of the symptoms among the public.
